Mike Alles

In 6th grade a teacher told me I was a leader and that I could either use those skills to build people up or tear them down; that comment still resonates with me today and has shaped a life of trying to “build up” through my leadership, and helping others do the same. In that pursuit, I help leaders slow down and regain perspective, take a breath, get to know themselves more intentionally and meaningfully, identify their goals and strategies for achieving them, and, ultimately, become the best version of themselves possible. The result: leaders equipped to make the greatest positive impact while also, importantly, enjoying the leadership journey.

Over 30 years I have personally led in many settings, ranging from non-profits, small- and medium-sized companies, to global Fortune 500 organizations. Consistent themes in my journey include successfully leading through change, achieving business and growth targets through sales leadership, building healthy workplace culture, and creating engaged employees and leaders.

I have honed my coaching through experience with, and certifications from, organizations like the International Coaching Federation, CoachU, the McKinnon Leadership Institute, the Leadership Circle, the Table Group (5 Dysfunctions), and the Prime Coaching Academy. My work is primarily focused on C-suite leaders and building high functioning executive leadership teams, but I also enjoy working with up-and-coming leaders.

I live in Glen Ellyn, IL (Chicagoland area) with my wife, Alexis, and have four awesome kids: Sophia (25), Samuel (22), Téa (20), and Grayson (16). When I’m not coaching, I love to exercise, golf, read, play guitar, and find ways to say thanks by giving back.
