About O2

Breathing room for leaders and teams.

Brad Sytsma and Mike Alles have been close friends for more than 30 years, and in 2025 they transformed that lifelong partnership into O2 Leadership Group. United by a deep passion for leadership and decades of experience across diverse industries, they built O2 around their complementary perspectives and a shared conviction that leaders deserve intentional investment.

They were joined by associate partner and coach Casey Siegrist, who brought a passion for designing a world-class client experience process that matches the excellence of the coaching itself. Today, O2 provides both individual and team coaching for hundreds of leaders and companies, supported by a wide range of professional coaching and assessment certifications across the team.

Our mission is simple: help leaders recognize their influence, become the best leaders they can be, and make the greatest positive impact on the lives of their employees, themselves, and the health and performance of their organization.

In 6th grade a teacher told me I was a leader and that I could either use those skills to build people up or tear them down; that comment still resonates with me today and has shaped a life of trying to “build up” through my leadership, and helping others do the same. In that pursuit, I help leaders slow down and regain perspective, take a breath, get to know themselves more intentionally and meaningfully, identify their goals and strategies for achieving them, and, ultimately, become the best version of themselves possible. The result: leaders equipped to make the greatest positive impact while also, importantly, enjoying the leadership journey.

Leadership begins with how we authentically engage with the people we serve. Too often, leaders try to imitate someone they admire instead of leading as the best, truest version of themselves. My work is helping leaders uncover their unique leadership wiring—and lead from the strongest, most grounded version of who they already are. Francis Hesselbein said it well: “Leadership is a matter of how to be, not how to do.” As a coach who’s spent years in leadership myself, I partner with leaders to help them lead from their “being”—so they can show up with more energy, clarity, and confidence. When leaders get energized, their teams feel it, and great things start to happen.

My leadership journey started on a volleyball court. As a Division I setter and four-year captain, I learned what it meant to take ownership, design and run the offense, and be someone my team could always count on. Volleyball taught me confidence, discipline, and the joy of elevating the people around me. Motherhood added a whole new dimension to that growth—grounding me, stretching me, and helping me navigate change with intention. It’s also where my passion for developing female executive leaders took shape, especially women navigating transition or stepping boldly into their next level.

Executive Coach

I believe leaders do their best work when they understand themselves clearly and lead with intention. I’m naturally curious, steady, and people-first, and I help leaders slow down long enough to see what’s really going on—clarifying priorities, challenging assumptions, and strengthening the habits that build trust and drive results. My style is warm, straightforward, and practical, focused on turning insight into meaningful action.

Executive Coach

My coaching style is compassionate, pragmatic, and highly collaborative. I like to work closely with leaders—right there in the trenches—helping them recognize what’s holding them back and build the confidence and capabilities to move forward. I bring a unique blend of military, federal, nonprofit, and corporate experience, which allows me to quickly assess needs, tailor strategies, and design solutions that drive lasting growth, whether it’s leadership development, culture change, or new training initiatives.

Executive Coach

My leadership approach has not only been enriched by real-world business experience, but also by training and teaching in yoga, mindfulness, and meditation. These practices have profoundly shaped how I show up as a leader—grounded, present, and intentional—and they influence the way I help others lead as well. Integrating mindfulness with executive coaching allows me to support leaders in a way that is centered, calm, and deeply human.

For 25 years I’ve been obsessed with what makes leadership thrive — what fuels it, what drains it, and how it shapes everything around it. I’ve led teams as well as partnered with, reported to, and coached leaders across industries. After thousands of coaching hours, I’ve seen the full spectrum: the joy, the struggle, the energy, and the exhaustion. What I’ve learned is simple: leadership matters. When a leader walks into a room, they either give oxygen or take it away. They can help people breathe more easily and grow or unintentionally choke momentum through blind spots or mismanaged emotions.

Every leader has a story—and every story carries meaning, purpose, and the potential for impact. I care deeply about supporting innovative and diverse leaders as they grow in self-awareness, confidence, and purpose. I’m passionate about helping people understand their relational strengths, lean into their unique gifts, and lead with authenticity. My coaching style is collaborative, grounded, and deeply human, creating environments where leaders can flourish—professionally, personally, and within their communities.

Client testimonial

Leaders feel the difference of partnering with O2.

What O2 and Brad offer is no cookie-cutter program. If you apply yourself, you will know yourself better, operate with more understanding, and the people you lead will feel it. I signed on for an additional year because the insights were that helpful. More than the financial increase I expect to earn, I like who I am and I enjoy leadership more than I did six months ago.
